Basic Alliance Strategies

Alliance is a very important gameplay in Immortal Conquest, so today we'll discuss some alliance strategies. There is a saying that states you should attack those that are near you but befriend those that are far away. In Immortal Conquest, this strategy will come in very handy in the later stages of the game.

Early Stages
In the early stages of the game, especially when the game has just started and players are collecting their resources, everybody is at the same level, so it is suggested to first form alliances with neighboring players. This is because, at this stage, you need to focus on building your infrastructure, and you do not have excess resources to gather soldiers for attack. Hence, regardless of who you are, you will surely lose out if you attack other players now. Instead, if you form alliances with your neighbors, you can make use of their territories to occupy resource-rich land which is further away, and your alliances will help to make sure that other players will not attack the resource-rich land you have occupied.

Middle Stages
As the game progresses, players will typically have 3 to 4 troop units, and would have attacked all the surrounding LV3 and LV4 land and the distance between neighbors will be getting shorter and shorter. At this stage, players should observe their surroundings and analyze the situations to decide if they want to switch alliances or continue to develop further afield.
There are many players at the beginning of the game, but as the game advances, some players are captured by their enemies, some choose to rove instead of fight, others reduce the amount of time spent playing the game, while some may even switch to a new area to play in and so on. These widen the gap between players, and an offensive is no longer a risky affair, so players should start to think about attacking weaker cities.

Look for those who only expand territories once in a while, and are not frequently online, you should consider if you want to annex your territories, like the one shown above.
However, if you are surrounded by players who are very active and relatively more powerful, you can choose to leave your own town to build a subcity somewhere further afield.

A subcity functions in exactly the same way as the main city; it is as if you are building a brand new town. But the subcity can share resources and troops with the main city.

Later Stages
The later stages of the game are basically when the alliance battles begin, and this is when you start to befriend distant lands and attack those near you.
You have to expand the territories around your alliance if your ultimate goal is to rule all the lands.

When you attack your enemies and their alliance's territories, you should concentrate your firepower on one or two towns. Once you have captured and occupied these towns, you can use its territories to launch further attacks.
Remember this though, once the chief of the alliance is captured, the entire alliance will fall into the enemy's hands, so make sure you protect your chief from harm.
But being occupied doesn't mean the end of the game for you. There are three ways for you to make a comeback: stage a rebellion, organize a rescue, or become a rover.
